I am an artist based in Glasgow. I studied art at Duncan of Jordanstone later training as a primary school teacher. I loved working with children, and feel my time teaching has greatly influenced my work.

I work in a mixture of acrylic and oil painting. Sometimes starting with bold colours and shapes in acrylic, working at speed to build atmosphere. Then layering with oils in a more figurative approach to build a narrative or story to the painting.

My work is influenced by my children and the desire to remain playful as we grow older. My work is often steeped in childhood nostalgia.

My work has been exhibited with ING Discerning eye in London, more recently as part of a group show at Tighnabruaich gallery.
